Biography
Lip Cream was a Japanese hardcore punk band formed in Tokyo in 1984, and was a pioneer of the hardcore scene in Japan in the 1980s. Members were JHA JHA (vocals), NAOKI (guitar), MINORU (bass), and PILL (drums), with BAKI and MARU as former members. They released the albums Big Foot Cassette (1985), Kill Ugly Pop (1986), 9 Shocking Terror (1987), Close To The Edge (Crisis) (1988), and Lip Cream (1989), and in 1984 released Lonely Rock The band influenced the punk scene at home and abroad with their wild sound and energy until they disbanded on September 24, 1990. An officially remastered reissue project of their discography is the talk of the town.
