Liang Lawrence is an indie pop singer-songwriter currently creating and performing in the UK. Her debut EP Letters to Myself was released in August 2023 and racked up over 1 million streams in a matter of weeks. Liang grew up in eight different countries before she was 18, and was drawn to music at an early age as a source of grounding consistency. Teaching herself to play guitar and write songs from her bedroom, she found in music a way to express feelings and navigate the messy emotions of everyday life. Liangâs raw and honest tunes lean into indie folk and soft rock territories, reminiscent of artists like Clairo, NIKI, Julia Jacklin, and Lizzy McAlpine. She supported Adam Melchor on his European tour and has shared the stage with artists such as Sophie May, Isabel Pless, and Olive Klug.
