Real name Katelyn Lapid, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lyn Lapid was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 24, 2002. Of Filipino descent, she studied piano at the conservatory and played violin in an orchestra for seven years, before turning to pop. Signed by Republic Records, then transferred to Mercury, the artist released the album To Love in the 21st Century in 2023, enriched by three new tracks on the new edition To Love in the 21st Century: The Epilogue. After duets with Ruth B., Whethan, mxmtoon and grentperez, Lyn Lapid records her second album Buzzkill, released in 2025, from which the singles "Coraline", "I'll Be Happy When" and "Death Wish" are taken.
