Real name Malcolm Hobert, American pop singer-songwriter Malcolm Todd was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 15, 2003. Malcolm Todd began to make a name for himself on social networks with a series of alternative R&B-tinged pop tracks such as "Intercourse", "Art House" and the Shower Shoes EP in 2023. Another entitled "Rommates " accelerated his popularity through a commercial, and his other videos gained in audience, racking up millions of views. In 2024, he began a series entitled Sweet Boy, consisting of two EPs, Sweet Boy Pt. 1 and Sweet Boy Pt. 2, and a sixteen-track debut album based on the previous ones. He followed this up with two previously unreleased tracks, "Comfort Me" and "Chest Pain (I Love)", which enjoyed international success on music platforms and an 18th place on Billboard's Rock & Alternative Songs chart (#68 on the Billboard Hot 100). The Malcolm Todd album, released in April 2025, featured new tracks including "Bleed", with Omar Apollo. A few months later, in July 2025, a new eighteen-track version was released, including the single "Original" and three previously unreleased tracks.
