Biography
Shane Michael Boose, known professionally as Sombr, was born on July 5, 2005, in New York City and raised on the Lower East Side. He adopted the stage name "Sombr" upon releasing his debut single "Nothing Left to Say" in October 2021. In September 2023, Sombr released his first extended play (EP), In Another Life, co-produced by Tony Berg. In March 2025, Sombr gained widespread attention when two of his songs, "Back to Friends" and "Undressed", went viral, leading to increased streams and chart appearances in multiple countries. Both songs peaked at Number 30 and Number 25, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted within the top 20 on the Billboard Global 200. In April 2025, Sombr announced his first solo concert tour, covering North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. His debut studio album, I Barely Know Her, which includes "Back to Friends" and "Undressed", along with follow-up singles "We Never Dated" and "12 to 12", is set for release on August 22, 2025.
