Biography
Laserdance, a Dutch spacesynth project, was founded in 1981 by Erik van Vliet. Their debut single "Lazer Dance" was based on Sponooch's 1979 track of the same name. In 1984, Michiel van der Kuy joined as a co-producer. Notable releases include "Goody's Return" (1984), "Humanoid Invasion" (1986), and the album Future Generation (1987). Laserdance continued to release albums with notable works including Around The Planet (1988) and Technological Mind (1992). After a hiatus due to stylistic shifts and internal disagreements, Erik van Vliet resumed the project with Julius Wijnmaalen, releasing Laserdance Strikes Back in 2000. In 2016, after a 16-year gap, Laserdance released Force of Order, marking a return to their classic spacesynth sound.
