David Lukas Kohler (known professionally as Knackeboul) is a Swiss rapper, beatboxer, and moderator from Langenthal, born on May 2, 1982. Raised in Portugal and Switzerland, he began rapping at age 14 and founded the band Mundartisten in 2001. Knackeboul launched his solo career in 2006 with the album Red und Antwort, financed by prize money from his 2005 m4music Award win as Orlando Menthol. Following the release of Hotel Hektik (2008), he supported Delinquent Habits on a 2009 European tour and opened for Jamiroquai in 2011. His solo discography includes Moderator (2012), which reached number 8 on the Swiss charts, Picasso (2013; number 9), and Knacktracks (2016; number 9). Knackeboul moderated for DRS Virus (2008â2011), the childrenâs program Zambo (2010â2012), and hosted the show Knack Attack on joiz (2011â2014).
