King of House was a French electronic music group formed in 2002, consisting of Antoine Clamaran, Laurent Pautrat, Prax Paris, and vocalist Matt Jamison. The group specialized in house music reimaginings of Michael Jackson's songs, following a similar concept to Mad'House, which focused on Madonna covers. Their debut single "Billie Jean" reached number 27 on the French charts in 2002. This was followed by their second single "Can You Feel It", which peaked at number 40. Both tracks were included in their debut album L Album, released under the Mascotte Music label (Scorpio Music/ Warner Music) with Fun Radio support, and reached number 68 on the French charts. The group's discography also includes an EP titled Can You Feel It which was released in the same year. King of House's approach to reinterpreting Michael Jackson's iconic tracks brought a fresh perspective to electronic music fans. Their renditions maintained the essence of the original songs while infusing them with contemporary house beats, appealing to both Jackson enthusiasts and dance music aficionados. The group disbanded after just one year of activity, leaving behind a notable contribution to the French electronic music scene.
