Killer Dwarfs, a Canadian hard-rock and heavy-metal band, was formed in 1981 by Bryce Trewin and Darrell Millar. Initially performing as Sphinx, they changed their name to Killer Dwarfs upon meeting singer Russ Graham. Their debut album Killer Dwarfs (1983) was nominated for a Juno Award. The band's lineup evolved, with notable members including Mike Hall on guitar and Ronald Mayer on bass. In 1986, they released Stand Tall, which gained traction thanks to MTV and led to a worldwide contract with Sony's Epic label. Subsequent albums included Big Deal (1988) and Dirty Weapons (1990), produced by Andrew Johns. The band toured extensively, including as the opening act for Iron Maiden in 1989. In 2001, Killer Dwarfs reunited to release a live album titled Reunion of Scribes - Live 2001, followed by Start @ One (2013) and Live... No Guff (2018).
