Biography

Singer-songwriter Kevin Powers was born in Boston, Massachusetts, raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and later based himself in Nashville, Tennessee. He began issuing solo material in 2020 with "How You Been?" and built his early catalog across hip-hop, melodic rap, and song-based pop through singles such as "Roddy," "Talkin Like," and "Punchline," followed by the EP Good 4 Now in 2022. Around the same period he also appeared on collaborations including "Company" with BigBabyGucci and later guest spots such as "Homecoming" and "Love Me." In 2024 he released "High & Dry" and "March 4th Freestyle," pointing toward a more guitar-led direction, and in 2025 his profile rose sharply after he became the first artist signed to Shaboozey’s American Dogwood label. That same year he released "Move On" with Shaboozey, which peaked at number 59 on the Billboard Top Radio Country Songs chart, and "Can’t Help Myself," and joined Shaboozey as the opening act on the Great American Road Show.
