Kenneth Jones, known as Kenn Starr, is an American rapper born in Suffolk, Virginia. He began his music career in 2001 when he joined the Low Budget Crew, a collective of hip-hop musicians based in the Washington D.C. area. His solo debut single, "If", was released in 2004, featuring Talib Kweli and Asheru, and led to various guest appearances on albums by artists such as The Foreign Exchange and Wordsworth. In 2006, Starr released his debut album Starr Status, which included production from Illmind and Kev Brown, and featured guests like Supastition and Median. The album garnered attention from magazines including Scratch, The Source, and JIVE. In 2009, he released the mixtape It's Still Real, collecting guest appearances and collaborations since his debut. His second full-length album, Square One, was released in 2015 on Mello Music Group.
