Karl-Erik Taukar, born on March 1, 1989, in Viljandi, Estonia, is a singer and bass guitarist. In 2012, he gained national attention as a finalist on the TV3 reality-competition series Eesti otsib superstaari, the Estonian version of Pop Idol. His breakthrough came with his debut single "Seitsme tuule poole" in 2013, which reached second place on the chart "Aastahitt 2013." Taukar's first album, Vääramatu jõud, was released in 2014. In 2015, he won Best Male Artist of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards. His subsequent album, Kaks, earned him three awards at the 2017 Estonian Music Awards: Best Album, Best Pop Album, and Best Male Artist. Taukar has also ventured into television hosting, returning to Eesti otsib superstaari as a host in 2015 and co-hosting the final of Eesti Laul 2019. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Tanel Padar, Ott Lepland, Ivo Linna, and Supernova.
