Shayna McHayle, known professionally as Junglepussy, was born on October 31, 1991, in East New York, Brooklyn. She is an American rapper and actress. Raised by her mother after her parents' divorce, McHayle started rapping in high school. In 2012, she released her first track as Junglepussy, "Cream Team" on YouTube. Her breakthrough came in January 2014 when Erykah Badu shared the song on social media. Later that year, she released her debut mixtape Satisfaction Guaranteed. In November 2015, Junglepussy released her second album Pregnant with Success, which was included in year-end lists by publications such as Fact, Spin, and Rolling Stone. Her third album JP3 (2018) received an average score of 83 on Metacritic. In 2020, she released JP4.
