Biography

Jon and Roy, a Canadian folk rock and reggae band from Victoria, British Columbia, formed in 2003 when Jon Middleton and Roy Vizer met at the University of Victoria. They added Dougal Bain McLean in 2004 and released their debut album, Sittin' Back, in 2005. After a hiatus from 2006 to 2007, during which Middleton recorded a solo album, they reformed and released Another Noon in 2008, with the title track featured in a Volkswagen TV commercial and the YouTube hit "Little Bit of Love." In April 2010, they released Homes, gaining further exposure, including a placement in a Scotiabank ad campaign. Subsequent albums include Let It Go (2012), By My Side (2014), Riverside (2015), The Road Ahead Is Golden (2017), Here (2019), and Know Your Mind (2021).
