Joanna Forest, born on May 3, 1977, in Loughton, Essex, England, is a soprano who trained at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Her music career began with a solo performance as a soprano at Busting to Sing in the West End in aid of breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel!, where she also duetted with Paul Potts on "Point of No Return." Forest's debut album, Stars Are Rising, was released on March 10, 2017, and topped the Official Classical Album Chart, making her the first independent classical artist to reach number one with a debut album. The album featured singles "How Does It Feel?" and "Life on Mars?" In November 2017, she released the single "Royal Platinum Love Song" which topped Number 1 in the iTunes Classical Singles Chart. Her second album, The Rhythm of Life, was released in March 2019 and won Best Children's Album at the Clouzine International Music Awards in 2020.
