Biography

Janice Robinson (December 8, 1967) is an American singer, best known as the lead singer of the Italian Eurodance act Livin' Joy. Raised in Garfield, New Jersey, she reached the top of the US and UK dance charts in the mid-90s with the single "Dreamer," which eventually became one of the biggest dance anthems of the decade. After her departure from Livin' Joy in 1999, she made her solo debut with The Color Within Me, a critically praised album that yielded the minor hit "Nothing I Would Change." In 2005, Janice Robinson experienced a surge in popularity after a re-issue of Livin' Joy's "Dreamer" cracked the Top 5 of Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Following a nearly 10-year hiatus from the music industry, she returned with the chart-topping single "There Must Be Love" (2015), recorded in collaboration with DJ David Morales. In subsequent years, Janice Robinson competed on the reality show X Factor UK and began working on a documentary about her life.
