Biography
Sonique, an Englishwoman of Trinidadian origin, spent a precarious adolescence on the streets and in youth hostels. An athlete and gymnast, she only came to music by chance. After a first attempt at reggae, she had a small success in 1985 with "Let Me Hold You". Sonique went on to collaborate with William Orbit and S Express. Her tracks "It Feels So Good" and "Sky " were major international hits in 2000, both appearing on the Hear My Cry album. Singer and DJ, Sonique returned in 2003 with Born to Be Free and in 2006 with On Kosmo.
