Jana Kirschnerová, known professionally as Jana Kirschner, and born on December 29, 1978, in Martin, Slovakia, is a singer-songwriter and musician. She began her musical journey at a young age, winning the children's singing competition Zlatá guľôÄka at seven years old. In 1997, Kirschner released her debut album Jana Kirschner, which garnered critical acclaim but modest commercial success. Her breakthrough came with the 1999 release of V cudzom meste, featuring hits that dominated national charts and earned her multiple ZAI Awards, including Album and Music Artist of the Year in 1999. In subsequent years, Kirschner released albums such as Pelican (2002) and Veci Äo Sa Dejú (2003). Her career took a transformative turn with the release of Krajina rovina (2010), produced by Eddie Stevens. Following a hiatus for family reasons, she returned with the two-album project MoruÅ¡a: Biela and MoruÅ¡a: Äierna in 2013 and 2014 respectively, under her new label Slnko records.
