Jack Colwell, born on October 26, 1989, in Australia, was a singer-songwriter known for his contributions to alternative rock and rock music. He attended the Conservatorium High School at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music before launching his solo career. Colwell's breakthrough came in August 2015 with the release of his single "Don't Cry Those Tears." In 2016, he released the EP When the World Explodes and played a sold-out show at the Sydney Opera House. In 2020, Colwell self-released his debut album Swandream, which received critical acclaim, ranking number 5 on NME's '25 Best Australian Albums of 2020' list. He died by suicide on October 3, 2024, at the age of 34.
