Biography

Hilma Nikolaisen, born on July 1, 1982, in Moi, Norway, is a Norwegian musician known for her work as a singer. Coming from a family of musicians, Nikolaisen began her career in the early 2000s as the bassist and vocalist for the punk trio Umbrella. She later joined the noise rock band Serena Maneesh, led by her brother Emil, serving as their bassist from 2005 to 2010. Nikolaisen also collaborated with Anne Grete Preus until Preus' death in 2019. Her solo career commenced in 2016 with the release of Puzzler, which was nominated for the Spellemannprisen award in the "Independent Music" category. She followed this with Mjusic in November 2018 and Heritage in February 2021.
