Biography

Love of Lesbian is a Spanish indie pop band formed in 1997 in San Vicente dels Horts, Barcelona, led by vocalist Santi Balmes. The group initially released English-language material, including Microscopic Movies (1999), before transitioning to Spanish-language albums with Maniobras de escapismo (2005), which marked their breakthrough. This was followed by Cuentos chinos para niños del Japón (2007). The band achieved commercial success with 1999 (o cómo generar incendios de nieve con una lupa enfocando la noche helada) (2009), which entered the Spanish charts and was later certified gold. Subsequent albums include La noche eterna – Los días no vividos (2012), El poeta Halley (2016), and V.E.H.N. (Viaje Épico Hacia la Nada) (2020), the latter reaching number one in Spain.
