Biography
Brian Simiso Zwane, also known as Smiso Zwane or Okmalumkoolkat, was born on July 27, 1983, in Umlazi Township, Durban, South Africa. After graduating from college, he moved to Johannesburg and formed Dirty Paraffin with Doctor SpiZee. He collaborated with Zintle Mbekeli on "Amakamera Angshoote" in 2013 and later signed to Austrian label Affine Records for the release of Holy Oxygen I and subsequent releases. In 2014, he released his EP, Holy Oxygen I, and in 2016, he released his debut album Mlazi Milano, supported by singles such as "Ntwana Yam'" and "Gqi". The latter featured the Durban-based duo Amadando. He has also released EPs titled Bhlomington in 2020 and his second studio album uShukela eTiyeni in 2022. He has collaborated with a variety of South African artists, including DJ Tira, Sanie Boi, and Sego The Great.
