Biography

Israel & New Breed is a Christian music group formed in 1995 by Israel Houghton. Born in Oceanside, California, on May 19, 1971, singer, guitarist and songwriter Israel Houghton based his band in Houston, Texas. Following the release of the group's first album, Whisper It Loud, for Warner Bros. in 1997, subsequent albums were released by Integrity Music, a label specializing in contemporary gospel music, with New Season (2001) and its Hispanic version Nueva GeneraciÃ³n (2001), Real (2002), which reached No. 13 in the gospel charts, followed by Live from Another Level (No. 1 in 2004), Alive in South Africa (No. 2 in 2005), A Timeless Christmas (2006) and A Deeper Level (No. 1 in 2007). After several more albums, including The Power of One (2009) and Love God, Love People (2010), both ranked #1 in the gospel charts, the band signed to RCA Inspiration and emerged from an Asian tour with the album Covered: Alive in Asia (2015), followed by The Road to DeMaskUs (2018) and Feels Like Home (2021). In 2025, the Latin album Coridos, Vol. 1 is released, with the classified title "Coritos de Fuego" .
