In the Nursery, an English neoclassical dark wave band, was formed by twin brothers Klive and Nigel Humberstone. The duo, originally from a small village west of London, began their musical journey after relocating to Sheffield. Their initial releases included the mini-album When Cherished Dreams Come True (1983) and the EP Sonority (1985). In 1986, they released their full-length album, Twins. The band's sound evolved significantly over the years, transitioning from industrial influences to a more classical instrumental style. Notable albums include Köda (1988), which featured computer sequencing for the first time. Their music has been featured in various films and TV programs, including Interview with the Vampire and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. In 2011, they released the album Blind Sound, followed by The Seashell and the Clergyman (2019) and Humberstone (2022).
