Biography

Retro Stefson was an Icelandic alternative/pop band from ReykjavÃk that was active from 2006 to 2016. The group consisted of Unnsteinn Manuel StefÃ¡nsson, ÃÃ³rÃ°ur JÃ¶rundsson, Logi Pedro StefÃ¡nsson, Jon Ingvi Seljeseth, ÃorbjÃ¶rg Roach GunnarsdÃ³ttir, Haraldur Ari StefÃ¡nsson, Gylfi Freeland SigurÃ°sson, and SveinbjÃ¶rn Thorarensen. They released their debut album MontaÃ±a in 2008 exclusively in Iceland. Their second album, Kimbabwe, was released in 2010 on Kimi Records and became their European debut in 2011 through Vertigo Records. The band's self-titled album followed in 2012. Notable singles include "Qween" and "Glow". Retro Stefson disbanded in 2016, but reunited for a concert in 2024.
