Biography
Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson, known professionally as Prins Póló, was an Icelandic singer born on April 26, 1977. He began his career in the mid-2000s, playing with various bands, including the alternative rock band Skakkamanage, which released three albums: Lab of Love (2006), All Over The Face (2008), and Sounds of Merrymaking (2014). The latter album was nominated for "Best Album" at the Iceland Kraumur Awards. In 2009, Eysteinsson released his first solo EP Einn heima. Under the stage name Prins Póló, he continued with two studio albums: Jukk (2011) and Sorrà (2014). His later works include ParÃs Norðursins (2014) and Ãriðja Kryddið (2018). Eysteinsson passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 45.
