Biography

These Immortal Souls were an Australian post-punk band formed in London in 1987 by Harry Howard, Rowland S. Howard, Epic Soundtracks (a.k.a. Kevin Godfrey), and Genevieve McGuckin. After being excluded from Crime & the City Solution's album Shine, they released their debut single "Marry Me (Lie! Lie!)" in September 1987. Their first studio album, Get Lost (Don't Lie!), followed in October on Mute Records. The band toured extensively across Europe and North America. In 1992, they issued their second album, I'm Never Gonna Die Again. They relocated to Australia in 1995 and disbanded in mid-1998. Epic Soundtracks died in November 1997, and Rowland S. Howard passed away from liver cancer on December 30, 2009. In 2024, the band's two albums were remastered and re-released along with a new compilation album Extra.
