White Heart (also written as “Whiteheart”) is an American contemporary Christian rock band formed in 1982 by Billy Smiley and Mark Gersmehl. Their debut White Heart (1982) was followed by Vital Signs (1984), which included the single “We Are His Hands.” With the 1986 addition of lead vocalist Rick Florian, the group signed with Sparrow Records and released Don’t Wait For The Movie (1986). Later, Freedom (1989) included tracks such as “The River Will Flow” and “Bye Bye Babylon,” followed by Power House (1990), which featured “Desert Rose.” The group later released Redemption in 1997.
