Biography

Featuring both an acoustic and orchestral sound, with a wide variety of instruments, Venus falls into the category of bands that aren't afraid of diversity. Inspired by The Velvet Underground - its name comes from "Venus in Furs" - by U2's The Unforgettable Fire period, and by Björk, Venus also sets the stage for its live appearances. Formed in 1997, Venus reached their peak with the albums Vertigone (2003) and The Red Room (2006). Split up in 2007, Venus returned to the spotlight in 2012 with their 2003 hit "Beautiful Days ". Already featured in various films and commercials, "Beautiful Days" seduced France by illustrating the Lancôme campaign for the perfume La Vie est belle with Julia Roberts. It was enough to see it become a best-seller in France in 2012.
