Biography

Hanalei, an American indie rock band from Chicago and the Bay Area in California, was formed around Brian Moss, a singer-songwriter originally from San Francisco. The band's inception began as a solo project by Moss after his previous group, The Ghost, disbanded. Hanalei released their debut album We are All Natural Disasters in 2004 under Thick Records. Following this release, the band expanded to include Pete Croke and other members from bands like The Pines, evolving into a four-piece ensemble with a folky-earthy sound. Their second album, Parts and Accessories, was released in 2006 on the same label. In 2010, Hanalei released their third album, One Big Night, under Brick Gun Records (US) and Big Scary Monsters (UK).
