Biography
The Tomorrowpeople, a psychedelic rock band based in Dallas, Texas, was formed in 1996 by Gordon Gibson and Erich Scholz. The duo began recording songs at SRC Studios in Garland, Texas, attracting major label attention. They signed with Geffen Records in 1998 but left before completing their album. Their debut release was Golden Energy (1997) on Last Beat/Slab Records. Following lineup changes, they released Marijuana Beach (1999), a mini-album of demos and unreleased tracks from the aborted Geffen set. The band disbanded in 2000 but reformed in 2008 with new members Gary Parks and Hayes Smith, releasing their catalog on digital platforms and issuing Bounced and Renounced (2008).
