Duet Emmo was a group formed in 1982, consisting of Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis from Wire, along with Daniel Miller. The group emerged during a hiatus in Wire's career, following the duo's earlier collaborations under the names Cupol and Dome. Duet Emmo released their sole album, Or So It Seems, in 1983, which included the single "Or So It Seems". The album featured eight tracks and was initially available only on vinyl, with a digital re-release in 1992 adding a ninth track. The electronic sound of the album was largely influenced by Daniel Miller's production work, which also involved engineers Eric Radcliffe and John Fryer. After the release, Gilbert and Lewis returned to Wire, while Miller continued his career as a producer through Mute Records.
