Biography

H2O is an American punk rock band formed in New York City in 1994, known for its energetic performances and anthemic punk melodies. Founded by Toby Morse (vocals), Rusty Pistachio (guitar, vocals), Todd Friend (drums), and Adam Blake (bass), the band initially captivated the hardcore punk scene with their unapologetic, straight-edge ethos. Eric Rice (bass) and Todd Morse (guitar, vocals) were also part of the early lineup, with Adam Blake joining later to solidify the group. H2O quickly gained recognition with albums like Thicker Than Water (1997) and F.T.T.W. (1999), featuring hits such as "5 Yr. Plan" (1996) and "Role Model" (2001). Their music, a blend of hardcore punk and melodic punk rock, resonated deeply within the skate and punk communities. The 2001 release, Go, marked a stylistic evolution, incorporating broader influences while maintaining their hardcore roots. Despite lineup changes, including the departure and later return of Todd Morse, H2O has continued to inspire with albums like Nothing to Prove (2008) and Use Your Voice (2015).
