Sam Duckworth, born on January 30, 1986, in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, United Kingdom, is a British musician known by his stage name Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. Duckworth began his music career playing gigs with punk rock band Silverskin and as Get Cape. In March 2006, he was signed to Atlantic Records. His debut EP Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly was released in 2005, followed by the single "Call Me Ishmael" in June of the same year. Duckworth's debut album, The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager, was released in September 2006 and reached number 26 on the UK Albums Chart. The album featured three top 40 singles and was certified gold in the UK. In October 2006, he performed at the BBC Electric Proms. Duckworth's second album, Searching for the Hows and Whys, was released in March 2008 and included guest vocals from Kate Nash and Billy Bragg. The album's first single "Find The Time" reached number 33 on the UK Singles Chart. In support of this album, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly performed at the Glastonbury Festival. Duckworth ended his Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly moniker with a final show at The Forum, Kentish Town on September 12, 2014 and resumed the Get Cape name in May 2017 with the release of the single "Optimist" and announced a new full-length album Young Adult, released in January 2018.
