Biography
Funkoars is an Australian hip-hop group from Adelaide, South Australia, formed in 1999. They consisted of MC and producer Daniel Rankine (a.k.a. Trials), MCs Adam Baker (a.k.a. Sesta) and Matthew Honson (a.k.a. Hons), and DJ Daniel Yates (a.k.a. Reflux). They released their debut album, Who's Your Step Daddy? (2003), through Peepshow Entertainment. Following extensive touring across Australia, they released their second studio album, The Greatest Hits (2006), on Obese Records. Their third album, The Hangover (2008), was released prior to The Quickening (2011). The latter peaked at number 11 on the ARIA Charts and was nominated for Best Independent Hip Hop/Urban Album at the AIR Awards of 2012. They went on hiatus in 2016 but signed to Golden Era Records.
