Biography
Fortuna Ehrenfeld is an indie pop band from Germany founded in 2016. It is the music project of Cologne-based producer, composer and lyricist Martin Bechler. The debut album Das Ende der Coolness Vol. 2 was released in 2016, followed by the album Hey Sexy just one year later. With the longplayer Helm ab zum Gebet, Fortuna Ehrenfeld enters the German album charts for the first time at number 66. In the same year, the band released the French album Debout pour ma prière. The album contains translated versions of the album Hey Sexy. A short tour through France follows. The album Die Rückkehr zur Normalität (2021, number 32 in Germany) is followed in 2022 by the live album Das letzte Kommando - Live in der Kölner Philharmonie (number 83 in Germany). Another album by Fortuna Ehrenfeld, Glitzerschwein, is released in September 2023. The album climbs to number 83 in Germany. After the live album Solo live (number 85 in Germany) in April 2024, the next studio album Universum is released later in the year. The album reaches number 92 in Germany.
