Biography

Die Höchste Eisenbahn is a German pop rock band from Berlin, formed in 2011. The group consists of Francesco Wilking and Moritz Krämer, both singer-songwriters, along with Max Schröder and Felix Weigt. The band's inception followed a joint performance by Wilking and Krämer at the Sound of Bronkow Festival in Dresden. Their first release was the EP Unzufrieden, released on September 14, 2012, via Tapete Records. Notable guests on this EP included Judith Holofernes and Gisbert zu Knyphausen. The band's debut album, Schau in den Lauf, Hase, followed on November 8, 2013. Their second album, Wer bringt mich jetzt zu den Anderen, was released on August 26, 2016. Die Höchste Eisenbahn gained significant recognition performing at the Lollapalooza Festival in 2019 with AnnenMayKantereit, featuring a cover of Nina Hagen's "Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen".
