Biography

Jon Erin Marshall, known professionally as Fat Jon, was born on September 8, 1975, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is an American hip hop producer and rapper. His career began with the release of his EPs, Stasis and Dyslexic, in 2000. In 2001, he released two albums, Humanoid Erotica under the alias Maurice Galactica and Wave Motion (2002). Fat Jon continued to produce a series of notable albums, including Lightweight Heavy (2002), Afterthought (2004), and The Same Channel (2006) in collaboration with Styrofoam. He also contributed to the soundtracks for the anime series Samurai Champloo, notably Departure and Impression. Fat Jon has been part of several groups, including Five Deez, 3582 with J. Rawls, Rebel Clique with Amleset Solomon, and Beautiful Killing Machine with Sonic Brown. His later albums include Repaint Tomorrow (2008), Rapture Kontrolle (2012), and Obscurity Continuum (2024).
