Emma6 is a German indieârock and pop band founded in 2005 in Heinsberg, Germany, with Peter Trevisan on vocals and guitar, his brother Henrik Trevisan on drums, and Dominik Republik on bass; since 2016, guitarist Florian Sczesny has joined live performances. The groupâs first commercial breakthrough came in April, 2011 when the single "Paradiso" entered the German single charts, followed by a nationwide tour that same year. Their debut album Soundtrack Für Dieses Jahr was released on 29 â¯April, â¯2011 under Universal Music Domestic Pop, establishing the bandâs presence in the German market. In 2013 the album Passen was issued, again through Universal Music Domestic Pop, featuring the single "Wie Es Nie War". After signing with the indie label Ferryhouse, Emma6 released Wir Waren Nie Hier on 3⯠March, â¯2017, an album produced by David Maria Trapp and recorded live at Zuckerhut Studios; the lead single "10 Jahre" appeared on the same day. The EP Möglichkeiten followed in 2020, showcasing a strippedâdown sound crafted by Florian Sczesny. Throughout their career Emma6 maintained a consistent touring schedule, with several soldâout shows, and achieved brief chart placements with multiple releases, solidifying their role in the German indieârock scene.
