Biography

Emigrate, an American industrial metal band, became active in 2005 and has been led by Richard Z. Kruspe, guitarist and co-founder of Rammstein. The project began when Kruspe moved to New York City and took a break from Rammstein. Emigrate released their debut album Emigrate in September 2007, featuring the singles "New York City" and "Temptation". The band's second album, Silent So Long, was released in 2014 under Vertigo Berlin. A notable track from the album was "Eat You Alive", which featured Frank Dellé. After a hiatus, Emigrate returned with their third album, A Million Degrees, in 2018. Their fourth album, The Persistence of Memory, was released in 2021 and included the singles "Freeze My Mind", "You Can't Run Away", and a cover of Elvis Presley's "Always On My Mind" featuring Till Lindemann.
