Emanuela Trane, known professionally as Dolcenera, was born on May 16, 1977, in Galatina, Italy. She is a singer, songwriter, and actress who began her musical journey at a young age, writing songs and studying various instruments. In the early 2000s, she met Italian musician and record producer Lucio Fabbri through an online chat, which led to her first recording contract with Amarena Music. Her debut single, "Solo tu", was released in 2002, allowing her to participate in Destinazione Sanremo. Dolcenera won the newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival in March 2003 with the song "Siamo tutti là fuori", which peaked at number 10 on the Italian Singles Chart and was included in her debut album Sorriso Nucleare. In 2005, she achieved commercial success in Italy after she won the music-based reality show Music Farm and released her second album Un Mondo Perfetto, which peaked at number 4 on the Italian Albums Chart.
