Chiara Siracusa, born 25 September 1976 in Malta, is a Maltese singer whose career includes multiple national talent contests leading to early releases. Her breakthrough came when she won Malta's Song for Europe with âThe One That I Loveâ, securing third place at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham, Malta's best result at the time. In 2000 she released the album What You Want, followed by Covering Diversions in 2003. Her 2005 album Here I Am featured the song âAngelâ, which earned her second place in the Eurovision 2005 final in Kyiv and remains one of Malta's most successful entries, scoring 192 points. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the national selection in 2009 with âWhat If Weâ, representing Malta at Eurovision 2009 in Moscow, where the song qualified for the final and placed 22nd. In 2010 she served as Malta's spokesperson at Eurovision and released the Official Malta Gay Pride Anthem âBelieve (We Are One)â. Throughout her career, Chiara Siracusa has maintained a presence in Maltese pop music, contributing to national contests and international broadcasts under Bridge Productions.
