Biography

Tiziano Ferro, born on February 21, 1980, in Latina, Lazio, is an Italian singer. His interest in music began at age seven when he received a toy keyboard and started composing his first songs. He later took guitar and piano classes at a local conservatory and performed in piano bars and karaoke contests. In 1997, Ferro participated in the "Accademia della Canzone di Sanremo," meeting producers Alberto Salerno and Mara Maionchi, who became key collaborators. His breakthrough came in 2001 when he signed with EMI Music Italy and released his debut single "Perdono", which topped the Italian Singles Chart. His first album, Rosso relativo, was released later that year and sold over one million copies worldwide by 2004. Recording in both Italian and Spanish languages, he followed up with 111 in November 2003, which included hits like "Xverso" / "Perverso" and "Sere nere" / "Tardes negras". In July 2004, he released his first English-language single, "Universal Prayer", a duet with Jamelia. His third album, Nessuno è solo / Nadie está solo, was released in June 2006 and featured the number-one hit "Stop! Dimentica". His fourth album, Alla mia età / A mi edad, came out in November 2008. Tiziano Ferro has also written songs for other artists, including Giusy Ferreri and Alessandra Amoroso. Both his third and fourth albums were certified diamond by the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana. In December 2016, he released his sixth studio album, Il mestiere della vita, including the number one single "Potremmo ritornare" and collaborators such as Baby K, Raige, Tormento and Carmen Consoli. In 2017, he participated to the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Mi sono innamorato di te", a tribute to Luigi Tenco 50 years after his death. His seventh album, Accetto miracoli, partially produced by Timaland and released in November 2019, was followed by the Spanish language version Acepto Milagros. Tiziano Ferro followed up with Il mondo è nostro, released in November 2022 before an Italian stadium tour. The album included duets with Sting, Roberto Vecchioni, Caparezza, and Ambra Angiolini. In 2024, he sang with Elodie on "Feeling", before signing with Sugar Music for his next album Sono un grande, released in October 2025.
