Norwegian metal band Djerv was formed in 2009 around singer Agnete Kjølsrud and guitarist Stian Kårstad, joined by drummer Erlend Gjerde, Greek guitarist Stamos Koliousis and bassist Victor Brandt. First appearing on the Headstone EP in 2010, the band made their mark on a wider audience with their single album of the same name, produced by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames) and mixed by Matt Hyde (Deftones, No Doubt). Critically acclaimed on its release in 2011, Djerv reached number 8 in the Norwegian charts and led to a series of concerts around the world, notably with Ministry. Present at major festivals such as Hellfest, Wacken, Eurosonic, Rock Hartz and Inferno, Djerv enjoyed studio and stage time until summer 2019, before releasing "Throne " and "(We Don't) Hang No More" in 2020, followed by "Enemy" in 2022. After recording "Get Jinxed" for the League of Legends video game, Djerv repeated the experience with "Rebel Heart" for the Arcane series of the same franchise and the main theme of Goddess of Victory: Nikke (2022).
