Biography

Leo Moracchioli (born October 10, 1978, in Ålgård, Norway) is a Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and producer known for his metal covers of popular songs. Based in Oltedal, he has recorded over 400 covers—often at a rate of approximately one per week—gaining a large following through his YouTube channel, Frog Leap Studios. His cover of “Despacito” reached number 35 on Hungary’s Top 40 Singles Chart in August 2017. In his videos, Moracchioli typically creates the arrangements and performs nearly all instruments himself, occasionally collaborating with other musicians. He has also toured internationally with his band Frog Leap, which includes Erik Torp on bass, Rabea Massaad on guitar, and Truls Haugen on vocals and drums; the group performed at the Wacken Open Air festival in August 2019.
