Marco Antonio da Silva, known professionally as DJ Marky, was born on June 14, 1973, in Brazil and is a prominent figure in the drum'n'bass and electronic music scenes. He began his career in 1992 and gained significant attention by 1997 when he met DJ Hype and Goldie during a trip to London. This encounter led to an invitation from Bryan Gee, head of V Recordings, to perform in London, resulting in residencies at Movement and The End club, as well as work for BBC Radio 1. In 2004, DJ Marky achieved widespread recognition with his album In Rotation and a notable two-hour set on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix. His career highlights include performances at the Lovebox Festival in 2006 and Norman Jay MBE's "Good Times Sound System" at Notting Hill Carnival in 2012. DJ Marky has released several influential albums, including In Rotation (2004), Fabriclive 55 (2011), and My Heroes (2015). His notable singles include "The Brazilian Job" with DJ Patife & ESOM feat. Fernando Porto (2001) and "LK (Carolina Carol Bela)" with Xerxes de Oliveira & Stamina MC (2002).
