Biography

Darius Lionel Brooks, born on April 30, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American gospel musician. He began his music career in 1990 with the release of Simply Darius by Sound of Gospel, which debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. Brooks continued to release albums through his own label imprint, Journey Music Group, including Your Will, released on July 27, 2004, by Chordant Records and peaking at Number 32 on the same chart. His subsequent album, My Soul, was released on April 4, 2006, by Journey Records and reached number 16 on the Gospel Albums chart. Brooks' career is marked by his consistent presence in gospel music, with three of his albums charting on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.
