Biography
Born in Australia, Danny George Wilson is a songwriter, musician and performer based in London. A member of the group Grand Drive between 1999 and 2007, he went on to form Danny and the Champions of the World, with whom he recorded several albums, simultaneously with his solo career which began in 2005 with the album The Famous Mad Mile. In 2018, he created a new project called Bennett Wilson Poole, with Robin Bennett and Tony Poole. The trio recorded a self-titled debut album, before Danny George Wilson returned solo for Another Place (2021), in a style blending Americana, American roots rock, country soul, alt-country and folk-rock. In 2026, the critics acclaimed his third opus Arcade, released like the previous one on the Loose Music label.
