Biography

Danielle Dax is a British musician who was born in 1958. She performed as a child in the opera Noye's Fludde before making her popular music debut in 1979 with the group Lemon Kittens. She began a solo career in 1982 and released her debut studio album, Pop-Eyes (1983). Her subsequent discography includes the recording Jesus Egg That Wept (1984) and the studio album Inky Bloaters (1987), the latter produced in collaboration with David Knight. After signing with Sire Records in 1988, she released the compilation Dark Adapted Eye (1988) and the major-label studio album Blast the Human Flower (1990), which featured the single “Tomorrow Never Knows” (1990). Dax entered an indefinite hiatus in 1995 but released the single “Invictus Arduis” in 2022. Her discography also includes the studio recording The Chemical Wedding (1987).
