Biography

Fifteen was a punk rock band formed in 1988 by Jeff Ott and Jack Curran. The group released their debut EP Fifteen. in 1990 for Lookout! Records, followed by their first full-length album, Swain's First Bike Ride, in 1991. Throughout the early 1990s, Fifteen toured extensively and released notable albums such as The Choice of a New Generation (1992) and Extra Medium Kick Ball Star (17) (1995). The band disbanded in 2000, with their album, Survivor. Fifteen's lyrics often addressed social issues like environmentalism and child abuse, reflecting Ott’s personal experiences. The band also released the EP Can You Spare Some Change? in 2010. In December 2011, Ott and Curran reunited for two Bay Area benefit shows. Their EP Live at Gilman St. was released in 2016. By 2018, several of the band's albums had been reissued by Dead Broke Rekerds.
